As a twenty something transplant from the midwest to Los Angeles, I’ve spent a lot of time trying to discover myself. What makes me truly happy and excited, what are my hobbies and passions other than coming home after work, watching the Bachelor and eating a lean cuisine (there is NOTHING wrong with that by the way!)?
It occurred to me that there is one thing that I’ve always been passionate about for as long as I can remember, and that’s fashion. In my opinion, retail therapy is the best kind of therapy and perusing the “womens fashion” section of pinterest is a productive and highly enjoyable use of time.
I’ve never been able to afford high fashion, but my wardrobe never suffers. For those of you who associate the word “vogue” with expensive, high fashion… let me clear it up for you. If you aren’t rich, you can still be vogue! Vogue is not just a magazine with expensive things… it’s defined as “fashion or style at a particular time,” that’s it! So, I live in the Valley of LA, not the city, and I don’t wear heels every day…and by every day I mean hardly ever. Compared to city style, the valley has more of your every day type girl (but still very vogue!) and I think more of us can relate to that.
